Your Life. God's Design.

Personal Vision

Move towards God's plan for your life by taking the time to think about, develop and write down your personal vision. The Bible teaches the importance of vision and warns us that without it we won't be able to live a life of obedience and discipline. Your personal vision consists of four main areas:

  • Legacy

  • Priorities

  • Relationships

  • Personality & Spiritual Gifts

And the LORD answered me:
“Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.”

Habakkuk 2:2 (ESV)

Take some time and think about the people who are most important to you- people you would want to attend your funeral. What do you want them to say about you? What kind of difference do you want to make in the lives of the people you value most?

Set 5-7 priorities that support your desired legacy. Priorities can describe an area of your life where you want to focus or a relationship you want to grow and develop. Once you have determined each priority, you will then:

  • Describe its' current reality
  • Record the future or vision you have for each priority.
  • Write a scripture verse to speak over that priority.
  • Determine 3-5 thirteen week goals to accomplish for each priority.

No one can accomplish their personal vision without help? Help from God and help from others. Be intentional about your relationships. Start with your family and work your way out. Your destiny is tied to your relationships. What relationships will help you grow and achieve the vision God's put in your heart?
